Godfather of la Fée Sauvage, it was thanks to Nobuo Uematsu that it all started in 2012, performing with us on stage for the first time in France and Belgium, then a few years later in Sweden, in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore ... Throughout his various concerts, there is always a program rich in his compositions for FINAL FANTASY, and no longer only instrumental thanks to the singer Akiko Kawano who joins the group to interpret certain hits from the composer like "Eyes on Me" (FINAL FANTASY VIII) or "Melodies of Life" (FINAL FANTASY IX) or the Main Theme of Terra Battle of which she is the original interpreter. The concerts of Nobuo Uematsu / EARTHBOUND PAPAS are the only ones where the composer plays on stage, leading the group, being his heart project which he carries out with strength, and on which he is accompanied by his friends and music video game composers : Tsutomu Narita (Granblue Fantasy), Yoshitaka Hirota (Shadow Hearts), Michio Okamiya (Anata wo Yurusanai, Lord of Vermillion), and Chihiro Fujioka (Burai, Mario and Luigi, Super Mario RPG). In addition to returning to Paris, this tour will mark the group's first concerts in London, Berlin and Singapore! Don't miss Nobuo Uematsu's comeback!
About Nobuo Uematsu
Nobuo Uematsu is one of the most celebrated composers in the video game field. He has achieved global recognition for his work on the FINAL FANTASY series that has been performed by world-class orchestras around the world. Nobuo Uematsu has been recognized as a major contributor in the increasing appreciation and awareness of video game music. A prime example is the “FINAL FANTASY VIII” theme song, “Eyes on Me,” composed and produced by him. His song featured Hong Kong pop star Faye Wong and sold a record 400,000 copies. It also won “Song of the Year (Western Music)” at the 14th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards in 1999, which was the first time in history that music from a video game had attained this illustrious honor. The music from the game series has grown to such notoriety, Nobuo Uematsu was named as one of the “Innovators” in Time Magazine’s “Time 100: the Next Wave Music “ feature.
